Wabi-Sabi Celebrates the First Day of School with Suhindol’s Children
A Special Back-to-School Celebration Brings Together Children, Teachers and the Local Community
The beginning of the new school year in Suhindol was marked by a special celebration organized by Wabi-Sabi, bringing together children, teachers, parents and the wider school community for a day filled with excitement, teamwork and learning. Ahead of the first school day, Wabi-Sabi prepared special gifts for the children of the nursery, kindergarten and school.
On September 15, every child arrived to find a Wabi-Sabi gift waiting for them in their classroom. The celebrations continued after the official school ceremony with an exciting “Treasure Hunt”, hosted by popular participants from the Bulgarian TV show Games of Will. The children immediately recognized their guests, creating an atmosphere of excitement and enthusiasm from the very beginning.
The Treasure Hunt was more than just a game. Through fun challenges and questions, the children discovered more about solar energy, the power of the sun and the importance of protecting nature and the environment. By combining education with play, the initiative gave the children an opportunity to explore these topics in a way that was easy to understand and directly connected to their everyday lives.
Working in teams, the children demonstrated creativity, perseverance and teamwork, values that were also at the heart of the school’s first-day activities. The result was a joyful celebration that brought together the entire school community. The initiative also included vouchers for local families, encouraging them to discover the benefits offered by local business in Suhindol.
The First Day of School initiative reflects Wabi-Sabi’s commitment to being an active and responsible member of the Suhindol community. Beyond investing in renewable energy, the company aims to support initiatives that create meaningful connections with local residents and contribute to education, environmental awareness and the sustainable development of the town.
The positive response from children, parents and teachers made the celebration a memorable start to the new school year and another meaningful opportunity for Wabi-Sabi to engage with the community of Suhindol.
