Eco Fest Event by Wabi-Sabi in Suhindol
Eco Fest Event by Wabi-Sabi Sparks Environmental Awareness Among Children.
On September 14, the town of Suhindol hosted a family-friendly environmental event organized by Wabi-Sabi – a company that invests not only in renewable energy but also in the sustainable future of local communities. The event brought together more than 500 participants and turned the idea of protecting nature into a true celebration for children and their families.
The organizers’ main goal was to show that small actions can lead to big changes for the planet, using play, creativity, and fun to inspire children to care for the environment. In specially designed eco art workshops, kids created decorations from natural materials and planted flowers in hand-decorated pots. They also took part in logic games, puzzles, and a renewable energy quiz, with special prizes for the most engaged participants.
At the “Wall of Messages to Nature”, children shared their drawings and thoughts about why it’s important to protect the Earth – a symbol that will remain in the town as a lasting reminder of the festival’s mission.
The event was officially opened by Mayor Eng. Plamen Chernev, while actor Yavor Ralinov kept the crowd entertained with interactive educational games and activities. The sports areas were alive with football, basketball, and archery, and the music and animations added to the festive atmosphere.
The highlight of the day was the much-anticipated foam party, which filled the air with laughter, joy, and excitement. Every child went home not only with a gift but also with a new understanding of why protecting nature matters.
Eco Fest is part of Wabi-Sabi’s broader initiatives to build a more environmentally conscious and engaged community. The company, which operates the solar park near Suhindol, continues to support projects that promote sustainable development and environmental education.
